Development: Alumni Relations
Position Description
To advance the purpose of InterVarsity, this position will manage and execute the GAPS 2.0 national thank-you card program, coordinating a team of writers to deliver timely, high-quality thank-you communications to shared-account donors at national scale on behalf of InterVarsity.

Leadership
- Develop and lead the national thank-you card program, including its structures, processes, and writing team
- Partner with the GAPS Program Director and GAPS Coaches to ensure the thank-you program serves the field effectively
- Partner with the Assistant Director of Alumni Development and Operations on recruiting efforts and financial management
- Partner with the Alumni Development team to discover best practices in donor stewardship
- Develop and oversee projects as assigned, including coordination with intradepartmental colleagues and, as necessary, those outside the department (e.g., Marketing, HR)
- Provide coaching and supervision to thank-you card writers
- Lead staff in regular times of study, worship, and prayer
Thank You Card Program
- Coordinate content creation and card production in accordance with InterVarsity's editorial style and brand standards
- Manage delivery of thank-you communications to tens of thousands of shared-account donors annually
- Ensure timely delivery of all communications and maintain organization through use of project management tools
- Initiate and ensure adherence to InterVarsity and industry-standard operating systems, policies, and procedures
- Manage project teams, project priorities, and tasks while monitoring processes and resolving problems
- Provide appropriate reports, plans, and budgets on time and within budget
Professional Growth & Finance
- Attend and serve onsite at InterVarsity conferences and conventions as requested
- Maintain professional growth through continuing education
- Raise an agreed-upon amount of financial support; develop an ongoing ministry support team
- Review financial reports for accuracy and ensure spending is within budget
- Represent InterVarsity within the wider Christian community
Qualifications
- Annually affirm InterVarsity's Statement of Agreement
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university
- InterVarsity campus experience required
- Demonstrated leadership skills in coaching and communicating
- Demonstrated experience of effective team supervision
- Knowledge of current Microsoft software applications required
- Ability to partner and work well in a diverse team environment
- Ability to bring order, prioritize, and multitask well
- Ability to give leadership in strategic thinking
- Ability to listen, work collaboratively with other leaders, and lead through influence
- Ability to develop a ministry support team who will pray, support, and give financially
- Willing to travel as needed
